Office fitout FAQs
How much does an office fitout cost? Including per square metre?
Office fitout costs vary depending on the size of the space, scope and level of finish. As a guide, most office fitouts range from $1,500 to $4,000 per square metre, depending on whether it’s a refresh, partial refurbishment or full workplace fit out. We provide detailed cost plans early in the process so you can budget accurately and make informed design decisions.
How long does it take to fit out a workplace?
A typical office fit out takes 8 to 12 weeks once design and approvals are complete. Smaller refurbishments can move faster, while larger corporate spaces or multi-floor projects can take longer. The key to speed is early planning; when we’re involved from the start, we can streamline design, procurement and construction to keep the program on track.
What’s included in an office fitout?
A complete office fitout includes everything needed to turn a blank space into a functional workplace. That can include partitions, ceilings, flooring, lighting, joinery, furniture and finishes, along with essential services like air-conditioning, power, data and fire. At Unita, we manage every stage – from cost planning and compliance through to construction, joinery and aftercare – to ensure a seamless result.
How can we minimise disruption during an office fitout while operations continue?
With careful staging and communication, it’s possible to keep business running during a workplace fit out. We can phase construction around your operations, complete works after hours and maintain clear site separation to minimise downtime. Our project managers coordinate closely with your team to keep people safe, productive and informed at every stage.
