About the ROLE
UNITA have a great opportunity for an Estimator to join our growing Sydney team.

This opportunity offers you exposure to a variety of projects, whilst working with cutting edge technology to revolutionize the market.

What YOU will be doing

  • Review and assess tenders, ensuring all tender documents are complete and accurate.
  • Adhere to strict timelines and plans, ensuring that key milestones are met each week.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each project, sourcing subcontractors and suppliers with a high level of capability and compliance as required.
  • Partner closely with our Business Managers (BDM’s) throughout the tender process to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with our Project Delivery Team from the beginning of the process, ensuring we are estimating the best possible build to deliver the client’s budget outcome.
  • Approve various purchase orders on projects you are estimating to ensure cost control is managed throughout the project.
  • Conduct status review meetings with the Project Delivery Team as required, as well as participating in post-project debriefs to ensure continued growth and development within our team.
  • Utilise our proprietary software, NEXVIA, throughout the delivery of all projects.
  • Follow internal process for the best outcomes and a positive team environment.

What YOU will bring to the role

  • 3+ years’ experience working on various projects – fitout, new builds, refurbishments, heritage and hospitality.
  • Adapt to managing & overseeing the delivery of various tender opportunities and cost plans.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management & organizational skills.
  • Be a confident communicator, both written and verbal, to share your expertise in a way that demonstrates value to clients and prospects.

  • Assist with administration of Head Contracts – including claims, variations, EOTs + RFIs.
  • Accurate + timely administration of Subcontracts – including claim assessment + variations.
  • Manage procurement + administration of project works processes from tender to completion.

  • Coordinate council approvals – associated permits + records.

About the ROLE
As a Construction Director at UNITA you will be in charge of delivering a number of projects within specified timeframes and budgetary amounts, whilst ensuring they are delivered to a high level of quality and service excellence.

This role is based in our Queensland office, in the heart of Fortitude Valley, close to public transport!

What YOU will be doing

  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of works.
  • Ensure all projects are built to the highest quality, optimizing Unita Group’s resources and capability to deliver each project as scheduled, on time and profitably.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients to ensure they are kept informed of the progress of projects, potential delays and critical issues that may impact costs.
  • Attend project baseline meetings, project reviews, subcontractor progress meetings, site meetings, etc. and ensure minutes are published and distributed.
  • Ensure that teams are effectively managing budgets and reporting to the management on forecast and current costs for the project.
  • Ensure Unita’s professional standards are maintained and company objectives in relation to budget targets, service quality, company reputation, OH&S and environmental standards are met and take responsibility for compliance with external and internal standards.

What YOU will bring to the role

  • Minimum of 7 years fit-out experience within Retail, Hospitality, Health or Commercial sectors.
  • Experience managing quality and timely delivery of projects.
  • Construction or building related degree, diploma, or trade background.
  • Previous experience managing programs of work and people is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, as well as any other industry building software platforms.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations, when and if required.

About the ROLE
As a Project Manager at UNITA, you will report into the Construction Director + be responsible for leading a team to ensure project programmes are met in a safe environment.  This role is based in our Queensland office, in the heart of Fortitude Valley, close to public transport!

Joiner/Cabinet Maker

As a Joiner/Cabinet Maker at UNITA, your role as part of this growing team will work alongside multiple departments within our manufacturing facility based in Archerfield, QLD
What YOU will be doing

  • Flexible and willing to complete onsite installations, as well as work in the factory.
  • Manage production schedules ensuring the best quality in services provided.
  • Understand technical drawings and how your work will fit within the site.
  • Use a range of equipment from traditional tools to state-of-the-art computerized cutting equipment, including hi-tech drawing and design software.
  • Liaise with clients and key suppliers to ensure all items are available and ready for each project.

What YOU will bring to the role

  • Trade Qualifications in Cabinetmaking, Factory Joinery or Shop Fitting with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within a factory.
