As a Site Installer at UNITA, you will report into our Site Manager and join a high calibre of employees onsite and play a vital role in facilitating the continued success of our projects.

The role is predominantly based across multiple project sites, and will be based in Melbourne.

What YOU will be doing

  • Read and interpret plans to ensure the correct measures are completed for installation on sites.

As a Senior Project Manager at UNITA, you will report to and work closely with the Construction Director.

This role is based in our Fremantle, WA Office.

What YOU will be doing

  • Work in line with UNITA Group Project Management Framework to deliver high quality projects.
  • Set programs and budgets from structure through to handover.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for delivery of projects.

Pre Construction Manager

As a Pre Construction Manager at UNITA, you will report into the Head of Pre-Construction and join a high calibre of employees in our Project Delivery Team.

You will be in charge of delivering a number of projects within specified timeframes and budgetary amounts, whilst ensuring they are delivered to a high level of quality and service excellence.

This role is based in our Queensland office, in the heart of Fortitude Valley, close to public transport!

What YOU will be doing

  • Review all project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure execution of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Manage project buy-out and formalise subcontractors.
  • Develop preconstruction schedules and monitor all progress.

National Accounts Officer

We are on the hunt for a National Account Director to join our Brisbane office.

As a National Account Director, you will work seamlessly with our clients to build, nurture and deliver upon their portfolio of work. This is a full-time, permanent role based in our newly decked-out Fortitude Valley office!

What YOU will be doing

  • Manage all inbound client requests to define their goals & objectives for new projects.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation & audits – including site-based audits.
  • Work closely with internal & external teams to ensure client expectations are delivered on time & according to scope.
  • Manage all client data within NEXVIA to ensure the client portal is accurate & up to date at all times.

As a Joinery Draftsman at UNITA’s key Victorian supply partner, NCI, your role as part of this growing team will work alongside multiple departments within our manufacturing facility based in Victoria.

  • Preparation of preliminary drawings as per architectural drawings and scope of works.
  • Forwarding preliminary drawings and additional information to Site Managers.

About the ROLE
As a Site Manager at UNITA, you will report into Construction Director and join a high calibre of employees in our Project Delivery Team whilst playing a vital role in facilitating continued success.

What YOU will be doing

  • Plan, organize and control the program, and quality of the day to day running of each project.
  • Undertake daily site visits, ensuring scope is completed and carry out WHS/Quality Checks.
  • Manage all site crew (including trades and sub-trades) to ensure they have the resources needed to complete the works.
  • Coordinate the timing and delivery of multiple trades across multiple projects.
  • Complete status reports on projects, ensuring to provide feedback to Project Managers.
  • Ensure that employees have an understanding of the project sites expectations.
  • Ensuring a high level of communication and teamwork through direct communication and on-site meetings.

Accounts Payable Officer

As the Accounts Payable Officer, your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring AP invoices are approved in accordance with the business’ delegated authority;
  • Daily payment allocation;
  • Liaise with Clients & Staff regarding AP Queries;
  • Assist Month End Closing;
  • Data entry: matching invoices to purchase orders and entering invoices;
  • Credit card reconciliations;
  • Entering expense claim reimbursements;
  • Suggest and participate in developing enhancements/improvements to procedures.

To be successful in this role, the following skills are required:

  • Demonstrated experience with NetSuite or similar ERP will be highly regarded;

  • A level of proficiency and demonstrated experience using MS Office suite of products, specifically Excel.

Contracts Administrator

Day to day responsibilities of this role will include (but not limited to):

  • Supporting Project Managers + Site Managers to deliver high quality projects with superior customer relations;
  • Coordinator council approvals, associated permits and records;
  • Manage and undertake the procurement, contract management and financial reporting of commercial projects;
  • Compile documentation required for procurement of sub-contractors and material suppliers tendering including scope of works, drawings, specification etc.
  • Complete calling of tenders/process, review and present recommendation reports to Project Manager for approval;
  • Monitor all suppliers and sub- contractors invoices/progress claims to ensure compliance with current legislative requirements;
  • Weekly reports on the progress of all active projects;
  • Develop a strong understanding of each project – scope, pricing, subcontractors, rescheduling and other relevant information.

About you!

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Contract Administrator role within a Commercial Construction or Fit out Company;
  • Bachelor of Construction Management, QS or a construction related qualification;
  • Experience delivery projects from conception to completion (project value up to $5million);
  • Experience managing ‘head contracts’ of a project with the project value < $1million;
  • Exceptional administration and organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to foresee roadblocks, troubleshoot and manage issues as they arise;
  • The ability to communicate with all stakeholders in a timely, knowledgeable and confident manner.

About our Role

We specialise in high-end construction and project management across various sectors. Our strong relationships with a number of key brands have positioned us as a national market leader. We are an energetic and ambitious business with a dynamic team – and due to continued growth, are looking to appoint an Estimator to join our Brisbane team at our brand new Head Office in Fortitude Valley.  This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s leaders, with cutting-edge technologies that will revolutionise the market.

As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Reviewing and assessing tenders, ensuring all tender documents are complete and correct
  • Adhering to strict timelines and plans that ensure key milestones are met each week
  • Developing a thorough understanding of each project and sourcing Subcontractors and Suppliers with a high level of capability and compliance as needed
  • Partnering closely with our Relationship Managers (BDMs) throughout the tender process to ensure success
  • Collaborating with our construction team from the beginning of the process, to ensure we are estimating the best possible build to deliver the client’s outcome to budget
  • Approving various purchase orders on projects you estimate to ensure cost control is managed throughout the project
  • Working closely with Head of Estimation and General Manager for best possible outcomes
  • Conducting status review meetings with the project team as required as well as participating in post project debriefs to ensure continued growth and development of our team
  • Utilising our proprietary software – Nexvia – throughout the delivery of any project

Skills and experience required to perform in the Estimator role:

  • Be adept at managing and overseeing the delivery of various tender opportunities and or cost plans.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years estimation experience working on various projects within fitout, new build, refurbishment, heritage and hospitality style fit outs; ranging from $1mill. to $10mill.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, including understanding plans, various documentation – as well as strong written and presentation skills with proficiency with technology.
  • Be a confident communicator who can share your knowledge and expertise in a way that demonstrates value to our clients and prospects.
  • Work as a team player to build positive trusted relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, colleagues and leadership.
  • Be open to mentoring, learning and ongoing personal and professional development.

Site Manager

Day to day responsibilities of this role will include:

• Day-to-day running of allocated projects
• General Supervision of all Trades, Sub-Trades and personnel
• Ensure that staff have an understanding of site project expectations
• Recognise and communicate project issues as they are discovered
• Document or draw up work instructions for workshop as required
• Provide feedback to staff regarding work performance / areas for further training
• Procure minor materials if required
• Co-ordination of site deliveries
