Unita partnered with ALH Group and Nightcap to transform underutilised spaces at Wanneroo Tavern into a high-performing accommodation offering.

The project involved repurposing an existing function room into 12 new motel rooms, as well as refurbishing nine existing rooms, more than doubling the venue’s accommodation capacity.
Rather than expanding the building footprint, the project focused on adapting existing spaces to create a practical, commercially-focused outcome. Working within the constraints of the existing asset, the team carefully managed staging, compliance and construction sequencing to ensure the project stayed on track.
High-specification fire rating requirements and evolving approval processes required a flexible approach, with Unita adapting delivery strategies to accommodate changing certification requirements.
Completed on time and on budget, the accommodation fitout demonstrates how adaptive reuse can unlock additional value from existing assets while creating new revenue opportunities for operators.
