After successfully introducing innovative new cinema experiences at both Hoyt’s Entertainment Quarter and Chatswood Mandarin, Unita was tasked to refurbish HOYTS Cronulla, located in the sunny beachside suburb of Sydney – the home of legendary surfers & pink seashell beaches.

The heritage listed Cinema Complex was built in 1928, and has become a much-loved tourist attraction and local hot spot for entertainment. The six-screen Cronulla movie complex underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment to create a world-class cinema experience that focused on blending the local Cronulla vibe with Hollywood movies and a range of new facilities. The works involved in this leisure fitout included a Bio Box and cinema technology upgrade, stylish licensed bar and lounge, private function space, an interactive Treat City candy Barr, amenities, lift refurbishment and signage installations – incorporating vital services and BCA compliance upgrades under the construction certificate.
