Restauranteurs Berk Cemail and Fatih Kulle from Efendy Group are no strangers to the industry. When the time came to open their latest, high-end offering at Sydney Fish Markets, Unita was the natural fit.
Coastal vibes.
Hamsi Taverna is at the crossroads of sea breeze and city spirit, bringing a slice of Aegean culture to Sydney’s harbourside. Replete with brightly coloured umbrellas, linen tablecloths, echoing laughter and a DJ spinning grooves till late, it is already becoming a fast favourite for locals and visitors alike.
You might have a great design, but if you don’t have a great builder, something like this will not come to life. We will definitely work with Unita again if we open another restaurant.

A shared vision.
This fitout was made possible through close collaboration with Barbara Albert from Alkot Studio, who was adamant that Unita should deliver the project. As one of Unita’s long-term design partners, Barbara knew we had what it takes to surpass all expectations and deliver a fitout that aligned with her vision, without compromise.
Often, fitout companies substitute finishes or materials without first discussing the change with the designer. I knew Unita wouldn’t do that.
