With no laydown or delivery areas and works spanning multiple levels, every element of the build had to be either manufactured on site or sized to fit within lift constraints.

Despite these limitations, the team successfully delivered a highly complex project, including the construction of two swimming pools and a new staircase linking floors through a post-tension slab – a concrete structure reinforced with steel cables. Structural modifications, including carbon strip reinforcement, ensured the space could support these new features.

Even façade upgrades required precision coordination, involving crane works and abseilers working within a live urban environment. Fresh air-louvres now line some parts of the existing glass facade, adding to both function and form.

Completed on time and on budget, this gym and wellness fitout demonstrates Unita’s ability to adapt, problem solve and deliver exceptional outcomes in even the most constrained locations.
