The name acknowledges the site’s history as a branch of the Royal Mint, when the building operated as a coining factory in the 19th century.

The project carefully integrates contemporary retail and interpretive displays within the heritage fabric of The Mint.

The former strongroom now houses updated displays, contributing to a broader experience across the complex that explores the building’s layered history.

The new café offering invites visitors to linger, with seating extending onto the historic stone verandah and gravel forecourt, creating a relaxed setting within this significant cultural precinct.
