Designed by Tom Mark Henry, BaShan, a Sichuan noodle bar in Green Square’s newest food precinct, is inspired by the bold and bustling Chinese City of Chongqing. Taking cues from traditional Chinese design, the hospitality fitout features timber framework, bold red tones and slate cobble-stone floors referencing the streets from which it’s delicious fare originates.

The cafe interior features a mix of textures, including a brick-style floor, a wood-paneled counter with fluted glass, and a distressed terracotta-colored wall. Cylindrical gold and white pendant lights hang over the seating area, which includes wooden stools and chairs.

Fitout and construction

The modern cafe interior features a long wood booth with a red cushion, small square grey tables, and a counter area partitioned by light wood and fluted glass. Two long, cylindrical pendant lights hang from the ceiling.
