UNITA is proud to announce our success at this year’s Brisbane Master Builders Awards double category winners, we are thrilled to take home the award for Best Refurbishment/Renovation up to $750,000 for our work on Tingalpa Hotel and Best Sporting Facility for the delivery of health and fitness venue, Total Fusion Chermside. The annual award aims to celebrate the high standards in workmanship across the housing & construction industry.

When the industry newcomer, Total Fusion, looked to open at Westfield Chermside last year, Unita was engaged to carry out the built of the 1217sqm fitness facility. The award-winning space features five fitness studios for cycling, pilates, function training and yoga; state-of-the-art temperature controlled rooms; and strategically designed lighting to complete the multi-sensory experience. The redesign and refurbishment of the Tingalpa Hotel was the vision of the client – Albert Hakfoot of The Hakfoot Group – who worked closely with Unita to unlock. The venues full potential. Liaising with the architect, Brand + Slater, Unita carried out the renovation works under occupied trading conditions to transform the previously unloved venue into a modern and sophisticated space.
