Established in 1881, Crown Hotel is one of Brisbane’s heritage-listed gems. Unita had the honour and pleasure of executing major renovations to the iconic hotel, giving it a new lease on life. The Unita team completed demolition works, structural work and refurbishment work. Additionally, Unita completed landscaping works to create Crown Hotel’s brand new beer garden that features an incredible mural by Brisbane artist, Ash Taylor. A major part of the beer garden’s delivery was erecting the hotel’s brand new dining extension which was then elevated to form the beer garden’s hole-in-the-wall bar.
Stepping inside, the team at Newline Design beautifully preserve the hotel’s history (like embracing the pressed ceilings and antique wallpaper), while incorporating modern elements to create a timeless space that can be enjoyed by all pub lovers.
