Unita partnered with hospitality giant Spotless to collaboratively change the stigma around food offerings in hospitals. This approach inspired the design and build of nine new venues at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital – Epicure Kitchen Café, Sushi Sushi, The kitchen, Boost Juice, CIBO Retreat, Merlo Coffee, Alice & George and The Container.
I would like to recognise the strong and close working relationship that Spotless and the Unita group have shared for in excess of 5 years. Providing a full end to end solution incorporating Design, through Build, and all permit applications provides a strategic benefit to the Spotless model. One that is scalable to our needs from small re-fits of outlets through to fixed price large scale contracted works. The Unita model of project management adds additional benefit to us as maintain full visibility over projects from inception to delivery. Unitas exposure to multi-disciplined clients, and high profile landlords is equally of great benefit due to the critical nature and high profile of our works.
The Bavarian has joined the line-up of culinary restaurants on offer at Westfield Chermside’s new dining precinct. The younger brother of The Bavarian Bier Café, The Bavarian is all about bringing a fast-service approach to German hospitality.
The Bavarian at Chermside Westfield was done on a D&C basis. They were run in an extremely professional and efficient manner with no problems encountered. The quality of work is exceptional and the aftercare service has been prompt and thorough. This project was delivered on time and on budget, in fact Unita presented cost saving options to me during the course of the fit out and we were able to reallocate this money to client led variations which we wanted to implement.
Unita take a proactive approach to the work they do and their in depth knowledge of the local market and statutory obligations make the whole process as seamless as it could possibly be.
I would not hesitate to recommend Unita for any hospitality or retail project and will certainly continue to work with them during our expansion programme.

Saiko Teppanyaki is a contemporary Japanese experiential dining restaurant located in Robina Town Centre’s ‘The Kitchens’. The ‘moody’ space boasts intimate seating nooks, timber finishes and a large concrete teppanyaki benchtop.
Located in Brisbane’s Albert Lane, Comuna is the latest design collaboration between AN+ID, Collectivus and Unita. Comuna was inspired by Latin American street food culture and the goal was to create a vibrant design that reflected this. Comuna means community in Spanish and the collaborative process allowed for Comuna to be developed from the branding, right through to the completed design and build.
1000WAT is a Thai food concept with a difference. Embracing the ‘farm to table’ movement they farm and produce almost everything they serve. To accurately reflect the nature of the brand the interiors consist of modern, vibrant and textural surfaced materials such as brass, concrete, timber and white tiles to compliment the layered gold Thai inspired wall graphics.
The Kawana Waters Hotel is a family friendly bistro situated on the Mooloolah River on the Sunshine Coast. In 2017, the hotel underwent a complete transformation of the sports bar, gaming room and beer garden. Drawing inspiration from the sub-tropical climate the space now features Balinese style huts, festoon lighting and casual bench seating.
Mejico is a contemporary Mexican restaurant located in Sydney’s buzzing CBD dining district. The brand’s mission is to celebrate unique flavours, hospitality and making experiences; which is well reflected in the playful, bold and high energy interiors.
